Family Partner - Support and Stabilization

Open Sky’s Support & Stabilization Services provide an array of services to support youth up to the age of 22 years and families that may be experiencing emotional and/or behavioral challenges. Services include groups, therapeutic services to help children remain in their home, preparation support for children reunifying with family, permanency support, skill building, increasing social connections, and providing families with community resources to meet basic needs. The goal of the program is to provide families with access to services tailored to their individualized strengths and needs, giving youth the greatest chance for safety, permanency, and well-being.

About the role

The Family Partner is a vital member of the team, bringing lived experience as a parent, caregiver, or family member who has navigated services through the Department of Children and Families. This firsthand experience is essential to building trust, fostering hope, and empowering families as they move toward stability and recovery. This role offers a flexible hybrid work environment that includes office-based collaboration, community-based support with youth and families, and remote work opportunities for documentation, scheduling, and other administrative responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Use lived experience to collaborate with youth, their parent/caregiver, treatment providers, supports, school, and other service providers to ensure cohesive inclusion of parent/caregiver peer support with all other services.
• Support youth to communicate effectively and foster their communication with family, friends, allies/natural supports, providers, and others.
• Practice skills related to networking, informed decision-making, collaborative decision-making, and leadership with parents/caregivers.
• Provide psychoeducation around parenting skills and trauma.
• Develop a healthy relationship with youth and their parent/caregiver, including listening from a parent/caregiver perspective, encouraging the youth’s and parent/caregiver’s unique gifts, and fostering communication between youth, parents/caregivers, friends, natural supports, providers, and others identified.

Requirements

• Lived experience as a youth, parent, caregiver, or family member who has navigated services through the Department of Children and Families, required.
• Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving history, and reliable transportation, required.
• Bilingual candidates highly preferred.
• Reliability, willingness to learn, and openness to new opportunities.

Pay

$22.07/Hr. - $24.81/Hr.
