Family Medicine with OB- Physician- Algona, Iowa- $250k bonus!

About the role

Kossuth Regional Health Center is a busy practice with immediate volume. It includes 8 physicians and 3 advanced practice providers offering a full spectrum of family medicine, including surgical obstetrics, emergency room, and hospitalist services. The call schedule for OB/hospitalist is 1:9, with a 1:3 call for cesarean sections. Specialists such as cardiology, urology, gastroenterology, ENT, orthopedics, and specialists like radiology, lab, x-ray, sleep, MRI, CT, mammography, nuclear medicine, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, and occupational therapy are also available. The facility includes a 25-bed critical access hospital and a primary care clinic, which is part of the MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, a Level III trauma center and regional referral teaching center.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive family medicine services including surgical obstetrics, emergency room, and hospitalist care.
• Collaborate with specialists and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient care coordination.
• Participate in the call schedule for OB/hospitalist and cesarean sections.
• Offer a wide range of specialist services including cardiology, urology, gastroenterology, ENT, orthopedics, and radiology.
• Utilize telemedicine and teleradiology services as needed.

Requirements

• Graduate from a medical/osteopathic medical school.
• Completion of an appropriate residency program and board certification or eligibility.
• Ability to obtain Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa medical staff privileges.
• Above average communication skills.
• Team-oriented approach.
• Licensed or eligible for State of Iowa physician license.
• Hold Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.

Qualifications

• Medical/osteopathic medical school graduate.
• Completed an appropriate residency program and board certified or eligible.
• Successfully obtained Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa medical staff privileges.
• Strong communication skills.
• Excellent teamwork abilities.
• Valid Iowa physician license.
• Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.
