Family Medicine with OB- Physician- Algona, Iowa- $250k bonus!

About the role

Kossuth Regional Health Center is a busy practice with immediate volume. It employs 8 physicians and 3 advanced practice providers offering a full spectrum of family medicine services including surgical obstetrics, emergency room, and hospitalist care. The call schedule for OB/hospitalist is 1:9, with a 1:3 call rotation for cesarean sections. Specialists such as cardiology, urology, gastroenterology, ENT, orthopedics, and specialists from MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center are available. Laboratory, radiology, sleep, MRI, CT, mammography, nuclear medicine, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, occupational therapy, and emergency services are all onsite. The practice is part of a regional health system serving 14 counties, including MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, a Level III trauma center and regional referral teaching center.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive family medicine services including surgical obstetrics, emergency room, and hospitalist care.
• Work closely with specialists and specialists from MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center.
• Manage a 25-bed critical access hospital and primary care clinic.
• Participate in telemedicine and teleradiology services.

Requirements

• Graduate of a medical/osteopathic medical school.
• Demonstrated competency as a physician by completion of an appropriate residency program; board certified or board eligible.
• Able to obtain Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa medical staff privileges.
• Above average communication skills.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Licensed or eligible for State of Iowa physician license; Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a medical/osteopathic medical school.
• Board certified or board eligible in family medicine.
• Completed an appropriate residency program.
• Able to obtain medical staff privileges at Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa.
• Strong communication skills.
• Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Licensed or eligible for Iowa physician license.
• Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.
