About the role

The Department of Family Medicine at East Carolina University’s Brody School of Medicine, located in Greenville, North Carolina, is seeking a board-eligible/board-certified Family Medicine physician to join the department in a fixed term, or tenure track, academic position.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care
• Serve as a mentor to medical students
• Teach during daily rounds, case reviews, and didactic lectures
• Supervise the care rendered by medical students in an outpatient clinical practice that serves as a learning center
• Participate in additional leadership and teaching opportunities
• Develop administrative and scholarship skills

Requirements

• 3 or more years of outpatient experience preferred
• Absolutely required: ACLS & BCLS certifications

Qualifications

• Board certification in Family Medicine
• MD or DO degree

Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to teach and mentor medical students
• Experience in ambulatory primary care
