Family Medicine Physician - Locum Tenens

About the role

We are seeking a licensed and board-certified Physician (MD) to provide outpatient primary care services at a clinic-based Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).

Responsibilities

• Seeing adult patients (age 14+) with an expected caseload of 15-20 patients daily.
• Collaborating with a team of one physician and three nurse practitioners.
• Providing prescriptive authority.
• Participating in on-site patient care.
• Call coverage is required at a 1:6 ratio, with calls routed through a service, typically receiving 1-2 calls weekly.

Qualifications

• Active Alabama medical license.
• DEA registration.
• Flu vaccination.
• Prescriptive authority.

• Ability to manage a busy outpatient caseload efficiently.
