About the role

The University of Missouri Department of Family & Community Medicine seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to join a dynamic team delivering exceptional care. This position involves seeing Family Medicine patients for ongoing health care conditions, preventative care, and acute care needs.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments and demonstrate high level of autonomy and expert skill in the diagnosis and treatment of actual and potential health problems.
  • Perform patient histories and physicals exams; order and perform diagnostic procedures; monitor patient condition, lab values and results of diagnostic procedures, and develop treatment goals.
  • Collaborate with MDs in difficult or complicated cases as per collaborative agreement.
  • Act as a resource for patients, families, nursing staff, and other health care professionals in the area of expertise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing is required.
  • Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN.
  • Preparation as a nurse practitioner in either a Master's program or a certificate program.
  • Must be granted a “Document of Recognition” from the Missouri Board of Nursing.

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN.
  • Preparation as a nurse practitioner in either a Master's program or a certificate program.
  • Must be granted a “Document of Recognition” from the Missouri Board of Nursing.

Skills

  • Expertise in diagnosing and treating health problems.
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive health assessments.
  • Proficiency in performing diagnostic procedures and monitoring patient conditions.
  • Strong collaboration skills with MDs.
  • Effective communication skills with patients, families, nursing staff, and other health care professionals.

Benefits

Pay

  • Salary range: $105,000 - $126,000 annually.

Schedule

  • Shift: Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
