Job Summary

TriStar Southern Hills is seeking a family medicine physicians for GME Faculty and Core Faculty positions within their community-based outpatient residency program in Nashville, TN. Qualified candidates must be board certified by the ABMS in family medicine, hold Tennessee licensure or be able to obtain it, and demonstrate an interest in providing broad scope patient care and outpatient clinic settings.

GME Core Faculty and Faculty Responsibilities

  • Serve as a role model, mentor, and advisor to residents in the program
  • Participate in the selection, orientation, and evaluation of residents
  • Contribute to the development of program curriculum and evaluation tools
  • Provide appropriate levels of resident supervision to ensure patient safety
  • Support the Program Director (PD) and Associate Program Director (APD) in the implementation of policies and procedures consistent with institutional and program requirements
  • Aid in the incorporation and application of ACGME Milestones into evaluation tools
  • Participate in program evaluation and clinical competency committees
  • Prepare and deliver structured educational activities as requested by the APD or PD
  • Actively participate in faculty development initiatives
