About the role
The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) seeks a Family Medical Leave Administration (FMLA) and Leave Administration Analyst to join their team. This position provides professional administrative services in FMLA and Leave program management.
Responsibilities
- Guidance and direction regarding employees' long-term and short-term absences, strategies for monitoring absence and reducing absenteeism.
- Ensures timely management and resolutions of long-term and short-term absences.
- Manages Federal Family and Medical Leave (FMLA) Act and Maryland's Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) programs for long term illnesses and other leave administration process.
- Ensures actions comply with Federal and State laws, MTA policies, and Collective Bargaining Agreements.
- Provides training in subject matter areas.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
- Experience: Three (3) years of experience in administrative or professional work. One (1) year of FMLA or case management experience which may include any leaves of absence.
- Licenses & Certifications: Employees in this classification may be assigned duties that require operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the state of Maryland.
