Family/Matrimonial Law Partner

Responsibilities

• Lead 1st chair in trials with a focus on matrimonial cases
• Prepare pleadings, motions, depositions, and appear in various courts in Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk
• Direct cases through the litigation cycle, ensuring a cost-effective approach
• Manage a substantial caseload and attend court as necessary
• Organize and track case status, overseeing attorney court appearances, calendars, and client interactions
• Zealously represent clients in divorce, custody, child support, and other family matters in Supreme Court, Family Court, and concurrent matters

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• 15+ years of experience in Matrimonial law
• Proven 1st chair trial experience
• NY Bar admittance
• Exceptional writing skills
• Great organizational and multitasking abilities
• Demonstrated flexibility and effective prioritization of work
• Collaborative spirit with excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, court staff, and colleagues
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook, & Litify a plus
