Family Liaison and Translator

About the Role

Responsible for utilizing oral and written skills to assist staff in communicating with students and parents and vice versa.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities to build on family and student strengths.
• Facilitate support groups and set up workshops for parents.
• Work with parents and students to discuss home learning activities, make referrals to agencies, arrange for and conduct home visits, and coordinate outreach.
• Assist in compiling needs assessments and parent surveys.
• Collaborate with the building principal to develop a yearly outreach program.
