Substitute Family Liaison and Translator

About the role

You will utilize oral and written communication skills to assist staff in engaging with students and parents, and vice versa.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities that build on family and student strengths
• Facilitate support groups and organize workshops for parents
• Work with parents and students to discuss home learning activities
• Make referrals to external agencies as needed
• Arrange for and conduct home visits
• Coordinate outreach initiatives
• Assist in compiling needs assessments and parent surveys
• Collaborate with the building principal to develop a yearly outreach program
