Family Engagement Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Family Engagement Specialist to join our team at Easterseals Vermont. The ideal candidate understands the complex issues facing families, such as past trauma, substance use disorders, domestic violence, mental health issues, and generational poverty.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating family meetings
• Providing in-home support to strengthen families in their homes
• Coaching parents to have safe and nurturing time with their children who are placed in DCF custody
• Supporting parents to meet the needs of their children in the moment
• Calling extended family members to explore familial support and create genograms

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field preferred
• Two years of human services experience preferred
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a background check
• Your own reliable vehicle with insurance that meets our coverage limits

Pay

Starting at $20.96 hourly. Additional compensation is based upon experience and degree ($21.46 for Associate’s degree; $21.96 for Bachelor’s degree; $23.46 for Master’s degree).

Schedule

Full time, 40 hours per week Monday-Friday. We are flexible to support parents' individual schedules and promote a healthy work/life balance.
