About the Role

Under the direction of a program administrator, specialize in recruiting and enrolling children and families within the full range of subsidized child care and development program options. Build and strengthen enrollment collaborations with the goal to serve the entire family.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit and enroll children and families in subsidized child care and development programs.
  • Develop and strengthen collaborations to enhance family services.
  • Perform related duties as required.
  • Travel to various locations to conduct work (employee must arrange their own transportation).

Requirements

  • Any combination equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in child/human development, sociology, social services, or a related field.
  • One year of experience in child/human development, social services, or a related field.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Department of Justice/FBI/CACI Fingerprint clearance, Tuberculosis clearance, and Pre-Employment Physical/Drug Screen clearance (required prior to employment).
  • Must comply with Senate Bill 792 immunization requirements for influenza, pertussis, and measles.
  • If using own vehicle in the course of employment, must provide proof of insurance and a valid driver's license.
  • Some positions may require bilingual or biliterate skills in a designated second language (English/Spanish preferred).
  • If assigned to Head Start/Early Head Start, must complete agency-sponsored family development certification within 18 months of hire or provide documentation of similar certification in social work, human services, family services counseling, or a related field.

Pay

Pay range: $36.19 - $40.81 per hour (Range 25, CFS Classified Management Salary Schedule).

Schedule

  • 225 workdays, 245 paid-days per year.
  • 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM).
  • Full-time employment.

Benefits

A benefit entitlement for health, dental, and vision coverage is available for positions that are at least 4 hours per day. The amount of the entitlement is based on the number of hours worked per day.
