Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Early Childhood, Social Work, Counseling, or Nursing (Master's preferred)
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years working with low-income, multicultural families
  • Skills: Demonstrated experience in family support, mental health support, case management, and advocacy
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Valid Wisconsin Driver's License with adequate insurance
    • Bilingual Spanish preferred
    • Knowledge of community development and family self-sufficiency approaches

Responsibilities

  • Developing trusting relationships with parents using Head Start Relationship-Based Competencies
  • Planning and implementing prenatal, family, and child development curriculum
  • Organizing parent socialization events and groups to enhance parent-child bonds
  • Providing comprehensive case management and social service coordination
  • Serving as liaison to community agencies and resources
  • Supporting family self-sufficiency and social competency development
  • Fostering parent involvement and family growth opportunities
  • Collaborating with Home Based Managers, Nurses, and Mental Health Consultants
