Fall Semester 2025: Lecturer, Educational Theory, Policy, and Administration
About the role
Lecturers (formerly Part Time Lecturers) are needed to teach undergraduate or graduate level courses in social and philosophical foundations of education, educational policy, social studies education, and/or educational leadership.
Responsibilities
- Instruct courses in social and philosophical foundations of education, educational policy, social studies education, and/or educational leadership.
- Teach courses in a range of modalities beyond traditional settings, including hybrid and online formats as well as synchronous and asynchronous instruction.
- Teach courses in the New Brunswick area, as well as, hybrid/online format.
Requirements
Successful candidates must have a Ph.D. in an appropriate field, such as education, social sciences, or related fields, and relevant teaching experience.
Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in areas such as history of education, philosophy of education, gender in education, race, ethnicity and inequality, urban education, sociology of education, public school finance, policy analysis, school leadership, and queer issues in schools.
Skills
Strong communication skills, ability to work effectively in diverse settings, and a commitment to equity and inclusion are essential.
