About the Role

Successful applicants will instruct undergraduate or graduate level courses in social and philosophical foundations of education, educational policy, social studies education, and/or educational leadership. Specific courses might include history of education; philosophy of education; gender in education; race, ethnicity and inequality; urban education; sociology of education; public school finance; policy analysis; school leadership; and queer issues in schools, among others.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct undergraduate or graduate level courses in social and philosophical foundations of education, educational policy, social studies education, and/or educational leadership.
  • Teach courses in a range of modalities beyond traditional settings, including hybrid and online formats as well as synchronous and asynchronous instruction.

Requirements

  • PhD in Educational Theory, Policy and Administration or related field.
  • Experience teaching at the college level.
  • Strong commitment to excellence in teaching and student learning.
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse and inclusive environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
