About the Role

Successful applicants will instruct undergraduate or graduate level courses in social and philosophical foundations of education, educational policy, social studies education and/or educational leadership. Specific courses might include history of education, philosophy of education, gender in education, race, ethnicity and inequality, urban education, sociology of education, public school finance, policy analysis, school leadership, and queer issues in schools, among others.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct undergraduate or graduate level courses in social and philosophical foundations of education, educational policy, social studies education and/or educational leadership.
  • Teach in a range of modalities beyond traditional settings, including hybrid and online formats as well as synchronous and asynchronous instruction.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or related field.
  • Strong commitment to teaching and student success.
  • Experience teaching at the college level preferred.
