FAE - Field Applications Engineer

Overview

Primarily customer engagement role to drive design wins to revenue at large accounts, by providing in-depth engineering support including creation of demos or proof of concepts to end customers. Some specific embedded expertise may be required. Visiting, training, and advising customers are also part of the job.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Technical Skills:
  • 4-5 years of experience in embedded systems and outstanding technical skills
  • Knowledge of hardware and software designs with microcontroller/Microprocessor (Microchip preferred) based Embedded Systems
  • Know-how of embedded security cryptography, PKI principles and certificate management
  • Working knowledge of hardware-based security techniques (Hardware Security Modules, TrustZone, Secure Boot, etc.) into a robust hardware/software system design
  • Experience in design or technical support is a plus
  • Experienced in embedded C programming language. Embedded Linux knowledge is a plus
• Organizational skills:
  • Work effectively with Field Sales and Business Unit teams
  • Able to operate under minimal guidance and assume personal responsibility/accountability comfortably
  • Establish trust and credibility with customers, distributors, and regional team
  • Willingness to travel to receive training or to support other regions as needed
  • Proactively keeps up to date with new technologies and products
  • Work effectively with other regions and divisional applications
  • Accomplished Presentation and Training skills

Pay

The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $75,000-$166,000. Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
