Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) is seeking a full-time faculty member and Associate/Assistant Dean to oversee high-quality learning experiences for students on the Boston Campus.

About the role

The School of Nursing delivers the BSN program across three campuses (Boston, Worcester, and Manchester, NH), accredited as one program by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). In this role, you will oversee teaching and learning congruent with the other campuses, engage in service and scholarship activities appropriate to rank, and collaborate with colleagues across the University, the Dean, and the Chief Nurse Administrator. You will also mentor students and contribute to the visibility, impact, and reputation of the University through research and scholarly engagement.

The selected candidate will oversee teaching and learning on the Boston Campus in collaboration with the Dean, including academic policies, curriculum delivery, faculty recruitment and retention, and other administrative responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee teaching and learning on the Boston Campus in alignment with other campuses
  • Collaborate with the Dean and Chief Nurse Administrator on academic policies and curriculum delivery
  • Lead faculty recruitment and retention efforts
  • Mentor students and contribute to their success
  • Engage in scholarly activities and research to enhance the University’s reputation
  • Interact effectively with students, faculty, administration, alumni, and external healthcare professionals

Requirements

  • PhD, DNP, or DHS (required minimum degree)
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in academic and relevant clinical practice
  • Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience at the college/university level
  • Commitment to undergraduate, graduate, and/or professional education and student success
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
  • Record of scholarly activities commensurate with an academic appointment
  • Evidence of teaching excellence

Pay

Hiring range: $100,000 - $130,000, with an additional $20,000 stipend. Salary varies by rank:

  • Assistant Professor: $100,000 - $110,000
  • Associate Professor: $110,000 - $120,000
  • Professor: $120,000 - $130,000
