The faculty member is responsible for teaching and mentoring student research. Evidence of scholarly productivity is required. A track record of, or potential to secure external funding to support research is desirable. Faculty rank is commensurate with experience and credentials.

Essential Job Functions

• Maintains an active research program and develops a strong record of peer-reviewed publications and grant submissions.
• Teaches core courses in the neuroscience program.
• The teaching load is contingent on research productivity.
• Mentors students in research.
• Contributes to diversity and inclusivity in research, teaching, and service.
• Creates an environment that is conducive to learning.
• Serves and contributes to appropriate department, college, and university committees.
• Maintains a professional development plan to assure growth and currency within the academic field.

  • Required Certifications/Licensures
  • Required Education: Doctoral Degree Major (if required: Neuroscience or related field)
  • Required Experience: 1. Record of external funding to support a research program (or evidence of potential to secure external funding). A record of scholarly publications. College and/or university level teaching experience.
