Faculty position, Department of Oncology - Leukemia/Lymphoma Division
About the role
We seek a highly motivated, faculty-level (clinician scientist or clinical track) candidate at the Associate or Assistant Member level with training in hematology-oncology, a proven track of excellence in academic potential, and a strong interest in clinical/translational research and clinical care activities.
Responsibilities
- Lead clinical research in identified sub-disease fields within the Department of Oncology, including Leukemia-Lymphoma, Neuro-oncology, Solid Tumor, Palliative Care & Quality of Life, Cancer Predisposition, Cancer Survivorship, and Molecular Oncology.
- Provide Leukemia-Lymphoma patient care services in collaboration and under the leadership of the Division Director, Director of Oncology Clinical Medicine, and the Chair.
- Ensure alignment of individual goals with divisional, departmental, and institutional strategic goals and initiatives.
- Pursue faculty development and promote outstanding multidisciplinary care delivery and research activities.
- Incorporate clinical education into daily practice to ensure the satisfactory learning experience of Hem-Onc fellows, residents, and medical school students in the Leukemia-Lymphoma service.
Requirements
The preferred candidate should have:
- An MD, MD/PhD, or DO degree.
- Board certification or Board-eligibility in pediatric hematology-oncology.
- Expertise in hematology and oncology.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- A strong interest in clinical/translational research and clinical care activities.
- Experience in mentorship and fellowship training within the academic setting.
- Experience in incorporating quality and/or process improvement into daily inpatient/outpatient clinical practice.
