Faculty Position, Ambulatory Practices - Academic Clinician, Senior Ranks

About the role

The Division of General Internal Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching responsibilities may include precepting residents and interns throughout their General Medicine rotations.
  • Opportunity to participate in UME or GME educational programs.
  • Clinical responsibilities may include sessions providing direct patient care in one of our ambulatory sites, including Edward S. Cooper, Penn Internal Medicine University City, Penn Center for Primary Care, Pennsylvania Hospital Wood Clinic.
  • Clinical responsibilities may also include serving as inpatient attending at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center or Pennsylvania Hospital.
  • Providing after-hours phone coverage may also be included.
  • Expectation of the ability to provide management and/or leadership.

Requirements

  • M.D. degree.
  • Board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine.
  • Prior experience as faculty at other academic institutions in general medical practice at the Associate or Full Professor rank.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching with institutional awards, completion of a graduate program or professional certificate program, or significant institutional, regional or national leadership roles.
