About the role
The Division of Gastroenterology in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track.
Qualifications
- M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree
- Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology
- Leadership experience
- Record of strong clinical skills
- Demonstrated commitment to all missions of the Division
- Proven excellence in mentoring and administrative abilities
Teaching responsibilities
- Teaching Penn medical students, residents, and fellows
- Teaching the GI fellowship and internal medicine residency programs at the Perelman School of Medicine
Clinical responsibilities
- Care of patients in outpatient and inpatient settings at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP), Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (PPMC), Pennsylvania Hospital (PAH), and/or Penn Medicine at Radnor (PMR)
- Specialization in inflammatory bowel disease, neurogastroenterology, esophagology, hepatology, advanced endoscopy, and/or general gastroenterology
- Seeing patients in clinic and performing endoscopy
- Overseeing clinical programs in gastroenterology, hepatology, and endoscopy across the hospitals, each with ambulatory clinics and ambulatory endoscopy units, and a large outpatient center with clinic space and endoscopy unit
