Academic Clinician Faculty Position, Gastroenterology - Senior ranks

About the role

The Division of Gastroenterology in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track.

Responsibilities

  • Care of patients in the outpatient and inpatient setting at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP), Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (PPMC), Pennsylvania Hospital (PAH) and/or Penn Medicine at Radnor (PMR) that specializes in inflammatory bowel disease, neurogastroenterology, esophagology, hepatology, advanced endoscopy, and/or general gastroenterology.
  • Seeing patients in clinic as well as performing endoscopy.
  • Teaching Penn medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Opportunities to teach the GI fellowship and internal medicine residency programs at the Perelman School of Medicine.
  • Selected candidates will be expected to provide management and/or leadership.

Requirements

  • M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.

Qualifications

  • Rank will be commensurate with experience.
  • The academic clinician track requires 100 credits and active and high-quality teaching.
