About the role
The Division of Gastroenterology in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track.
Qualifications
- M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree
- Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology
Teaching responsibilities
- Teaching Penn medical students, residents, and fellows
- 100 credits per year of active and high-quality teaching at the Perelman School of Medicine (academic clinician track requirement)
Clinical responsibilities
- Care of patients in outpatient and inpatient settings at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP), Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (PPMC), Pennsylvania Hospital (PAH), and/or Penn Medicine at Radnor (PMR)
- Specialization in inflammatory bowel disease, neurogastroenterology, esophagology, hepatology, advanced endoscopy, and/or general gastroenterology
- Seeing patients in clinic and performing endoscopy at each of the sites mentioned
