About the role

The Philadelphia VA Medical Center (PVAMC) and the Division of Hematology-Oncology in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching responsibilities may include teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Academic clinician track requires 100 credits per year of active and high-quality teaching.
  • Clinical responsibilities may include care of patients with classical or malignant hematologic conditions and/or solid tumors.
  • Selected candidates may be expected to provide management and/or leadership.
  • Selected candidates may engage in clinical investigation.

Requirements

  • An M.D. degree.
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology is required.

Qualifications

  • Rank will be commensurate with experience.

Skills

  • Ability to provide management and/or leadership.
  • Experience and/or advanced training in the conduct of clinical trials is not required.
