Faculty Physician: Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialist

Duties

  • Practice in the areas of Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
  • Provide excellent patient care.
  • Achieve active involvement in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
  • Eligible for state medical license.
  • Completed an ACGME accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program.
  • Completed a Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) fellowship program.
  • Board certified/eligible in MFM by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Maternal-Fetal Medicine Care Team

  • Use a team-based, multidisciplinary approach.

Meet the Chair

Brian Casey, MD, joined the WVU Medicine team in March 2024. Dr. Casey has extensive experience in high-quality healthcare and a commitment to improving care for women in West Virginia and beyond. He previously held leadership roles at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Casey completed his fellowship in MFM at UT Southwestern/Parkland Health and Hospital System in Dallas and his residency at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey. He received his medical degree from the Temple University School of Medicine.
