Duties
- Practice in the areas of Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
- Provide excellent patient care.
- Achieve active involvement in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
- Eligible for state medical license.
- Completed an ACGME accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program.
- Completed a Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) fellowship program.
- Board certified/eligible in MFM by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Maternal-Fetal Medicine Care Team
- Use a team-based, multidisciplinary approach.
- Provide care and counseling before pregnancy begins (preconception care).
- Offer integrated care for chronic conditions during pregnancy.
- Provide care for various conditions including cancer, heart disease, high blood pressure, pre-eclampsia and hypertensive disorders, diabetes or endocrine disorders, obstetric complications, preterm labor and premature birth, multiple gestation, fetal growth disorders, recurrent pregnancy loss, gestational diabetes, kidney disease, infectious diseases, gastrointestinal disorders, rheumatologic diseases, and more.

Brian Casey, MD, joined the WVU Medicine team in March 2024. Dr. Casey has extensive experience in high-quality healthcare and a commitment to improving care for women in West Virginia and beyond. He previously held leadership roles at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
