Faculty Physician - Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialist
About the role
The successful candidate will practice in the areas of Maternal-Fetal Medicine. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Qualifications
- Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license.
- Successfully candidate must have completed an ACGME accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program, as well as a Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) fellowship program.
- Successful candidates must be board certified/eligible in MFM by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Maternal-Fetal Medicine Care Team
The WVU Medicine Maternal-Fetal Care Team uses a coordinated approach to help women experiencing high-risk pregnancies. The Services We Provide Include:
- Care and counseling before pregnancy begins (preconception care) for women who have increased medical, surgical, or genetic risks
- Integrated care for chronic conditions during pregnancy
- Cancer
- Heart disease
- High blood pressure
- Pre-eclampsia and hypertensive disorders
- Diabetes or endocrine disorders
- Obstetric complications
- Preterm labor and premature birth
- Multiple gestation
- Fetal growth disorders
