Education
An associate's degree in Concrete Science Technology, Masonry, Building Construction Technology, or a related discipline is required. A bachelor's degree in Residential Construction Management, Technology Education, or a related discipline is preferred.
Experience
- Six (6) years of trade experience in building construction, concrete, and masonry, including estimating and management experience in residential and commercial construction.
- Prior teaching experience at the secondary or postsecondary level is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Teach theory and lab courses on residential and commercial building methods and techniques in the areas of concrete science, concrete estimating, and masonry principles.
- Provide coordination and supervision for instructional field projects.
- Maintain accurate written records of student performance.
- Maintain communications with School Administrators, as appropriate.
- Assume responsibility for laboratory development, coordination, and maintenance.
- Attend Department meetings as requested.
- Maintain office hours according to contractual guidelines.
- Some lifting not to exceed 40 lbs. may be required.
- Some work from ladders and scaffolds may be required.
Pay
The part-time rate for 2026/27 will be the greater of $1180 per credit or $787 per contact hour, prorated for student enrollment under seven. The approved substitute pay rate is $49.17 per hour during the first week of substituting and the prorated part-time teacher rate for consecutive substitute assignments that exceed one week.
