About the role

The Facility Warehouse Supervisor is a key member of the warehouse operations team, responsible for leading and motivating a team of hourly associates to meet established goals, standards, and daily targets. This role drives associate engagement, productivity, quality, accuracy, and safety across assigned areas (inbound, outbound, order processing, shipping, returns, etc.) by providing hands-on leadership and day-to-day direction. The Supervisor ensures Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) are in effect, assuring the quality and quantity of products. Close collaboration with peers and internal business teams—including inventory, customer solutions, sales, supply chain, and warehouse operations—is essential to align decisions and outcomes with overall site goals and objectives.

Job Duties / Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment; ensure all equipment is in working order and that associates have the tools they need to be effective.
  • Drive a Safety Culture that values associate engagement with the Safety Program; ensure all appropriate safety training is completed and all SOPs, cGMPs, and safety requirements are followed.
  • Supervise associates in picking, consolidating, packing, as well as secondary production functions (returns, return-to-vendor, make ready/audit, etc.).
  • Motivate and guide the team to meet all daily targets, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Objectives, Goals, Strategies, and Measures (OGSMs), while maintaining high quality and productivity standards through continuous direction, training, and motivation (extensive time spent on the warehouse floor—this is not a desk job).
  • Implement optimal staffing mix during assigned shift for applicable department(s) in partnership with management and the production/wave planning office.
  • Monitor warehouse lines to ensure goods flow properly within the facility; communicate best practices for conveying goods to associates within and across upstream and downstream departments.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by ensuring associates are adequately trained in all aspects of their job function, including RF replenishment techniques, accurate accounting of items picked and staged, and safe operation of equipment in a high-velocity work environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of processed merchandise, packages, shipments, tracking numbers, and associate productivity; ensure all paperwork is properly documented. Prepare daily reports of these metrics for the management team and provide appropriate feedback to associates to support accountability and recognition.
  • Coach and develop Warehouse Leads and hourly associates through regular evaluations, coaching diaries, and day-to-day motivation and support.
  • Ensure on-time order processing and warehouse throughput.
  • Use Root Cause Analysis to investigate operational errors; present problem analysis of operational issues to management and recommend corrective actions in a creative and logical manner.
  • Be solution-oriented and routinely make recommendations for continuous improvement within the site.
  • Exercise autonomy to make operational decisions on the fly to keep building plans on track and support the business.
  • Assign work, meet completion dates, and interpret and ensure consistent application of organizational policies and communications.
  • Plan and organize day-to-day operations activities and objectives using independent discretion in partnership with the Warehouse area.
  • Appropriately communicate with, follow up with, and support associates in a timely manner.
  • Leverage facility systems to generate reports, understand trends and potential roadblocks, interpret corrective measures needed, and execute plans to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Monitor hourly/daily reporting and escalate concerns when needed.
  • Learn, understand, and regularly execute tasks related to the various software programs used to run the facility (e.g., ERP, WMS, SAP).
  • Follow all established facility safety and security standards; set the example for, coach, and hold hourly associates accountable.
  • Take personal responsibility for following all SOPs, cGMPs, safety requirements, and procedures.
