Warehouse Supervisor (Second Shift)

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily 2nd shift warehouse activities; receiving, put-away, picking, staging, and shipping.
  • Prepare shift schedules and assign tasks to meet production and delivery deadlines.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies using D365 ERP system.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage and documentation of components and mechanical equipment.
  • Lead, coach, and train warehouse associates; conduct performance reviews.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative team environment with strong attendance and accountability.
  • Resolve conflicts, address performance issues, and recommend hiring/promotions.

Safety and Compliance

  • Enforce OSHA safety standards, 7S/5S housekeeping, and PPE compliance.
  • Investigate incidents/accidents; prepare reports and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain a safety-first culture; ensure all associates follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and implement process improvements to boost productivity, reduce waste, and enhance quality.
  • Collaborate with Logistics, Production, and Quality teams to optimize material flow.
  • Support Lean, Six Sigma, or ISO initiatives as applicable.

Administrative Duties

  • Track attendance, tardiness, overtime, and payroll records.
  • Communicate shift status, issues, and achievements to day-shift leadership and Senior Manager.
  • Ensure accurate completion of shipping/receiving paperwork and system transactions.

Required Education and Experience

  • 2+ years of warehouse operations experience (manufacturing or energy sector preferred)
  • 1–2 years of supervisory or team-lead experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and computerized barcode scanners
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including planned/unplanned overtime and weekends
  • Physical capability to lift 50+ lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, bend, climb, push/pull

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field / Relevant work experience
  • Experience in ISO 9001, AS9100, or clean-energy/manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma, WMS/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
  • Forklift certification or experience with powered industrial trucks

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, bend, climb, push/pull

Scope

  • Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of business or technical support or production team.
  • Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors.
  • Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receive guidance and oversight from manager.
  • Does not spend more than 20% of time performing the work supervised.
