Facility Supervisor

About the role

The Facility Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of FMC Ice Sports facilities, ensuring they are clean, safe, and ready for use. This includes maintaining the ice surface, managing facility security, scheduling, and payroll, as well as training new staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and secure facility
• Make and maintain ice surface
• Maintain arena facilities
• Complete and maintain required logs
• Ensure facilities are cleaned on a regular basis
• Schedule and payroll as determined by the General/Arena Manager
• Train new hires in coordination with the General/Arena Manager and Operations Personnel
• Oversight of the on-site staff, including Facility Operators and Facility Support Staff
• Demonstrate total commitment to outstanding customer service for both internal and external customers

Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED
• At least 21 years old with a valid Driver's License
• One year work experience in an ice arena or similar organization, with some exposure to operations and maintenance functions, knowledge of equipment preferred
• Experience driving an ice resurfacer operation preferred, but willing to train
• Self-starter with ability to analyze situations and develop solutions to problems with minimal supervision
• Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with a variety of individuals and groups interested in recreational matters
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectively

Pay

• Base pay range: $24 - $28 per hour
• Annual increase of 2% - 4% based upon performance
• Year-end discretionary bonus

Schedule

This is a full-time seasonal position from August to April.
