Facility Security Receptionist
About the role
The Facility Security Receptionist serves as the face of the company, creating a professional, secure, and welcoming experience for employees, visitors, vendors, and candidates. This role supports the day-to-day operations of our office and facilities while providing front-end security and administrative support in a fast-paced design and manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and service-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and attention to detail. They will manage competing priorities, anticipate operational needs, and partner closely with leadership, Security, Human Resources, Recruiting, Facilities, and Operations to maintain a safe, efficient, and productive workplace.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all visitors, vendors, and candidates by providing a professional, courteous, and security-conscious first impression.
- Manage visitor check-in procedures, including verifying visitor eligibility in accordance with ITAR and company security requirements, safety and security briefings, sign-in logs, and badging.
- Monitor the front entrance, control facility access, and support physical security protocols by identifying and escalating security concerns, unusual activity, or policy violations.
- Manage daily office operations, including conference room scheduling, office organization, mail distribution, office equipment maintenance, and overall workplace readiness to support uninterrupted business operations.
- Check in and provide safety and facility training for office vendors, service providers, contractors, and suppliers.
- Support Human Resources, Recruiting, Facilities, Security, and Operations teams by assisting with candidate check-in, new employee check-in, badge administration, visitor management, company communications, and maintaining administrative records while protecting confidential information.
- Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and professional office environment by proactively identifying operational improvements, coordinating minor facility repairs, monitoring office appearance, managing common areas, and supporting workplace health and safety initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve workplace processes, procedures, and standards that increase efficiency and enhance the employee and visitor experience.
Requirements
- 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in office management, executive administration, reception, workplace operations, or administrative support in a fast-paced professional environment.
- Strong customer service orientation with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
- Professional demeanor with the ability to interact confidently with executives, customers, government representatives, vendors, and employees at all organizational levels.
- Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, technology, or other high-growth organizations.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace, Envoy, Slack, Zoom, and common office management software.
- Experience with purchasing systems, visitor management software, badge systems, shipping platforms, and office inventory management is preferred.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment where priorities shift rapidly and new responsibilities emerge regularly.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively across multiple departments.

Pay
Compensation target levels:
- Level 1 Range: $22.82 - $34.18 per hour
- Level 2 Range: $27.92 - $41.90 per hour

ITAR Requirements
To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
