About the role
The Security Receptionist (SR) will sit in the reception area of the 6th floor and is responsible for various duties including greeting participants, handling reception tasks, coordinating with colleagues, and responding to emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Verify visitor credentials and maintain entry/exit logs
- Prevent unauthorized personnel, loiterers, or potential threats from entering the work areas
- Help to foster and promote a positive and harmonious atmosphere at the office
- Cookordinate calendars of supervisor on site at all locations
- Serve as the point person during building evacuations and critical incidents, including drafting incident reports
- Contact local law enforcement, fire departments, or medical responders when necessary
- Administer basic first aid or CPR in the event of minor injuries or medical emergencies
- Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls while managing inquiries
- Greet, direct, and assist clients and employees
- Answer phones and direct callers
- Receive mail, handle package deliveries, and distribute mail
- Cookorate with 8th floor receptionist to ensure adequate amount of supplies on the 6th floor
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of two years of experience working in a security/hospitality or office environment
- Valid CPR/First Aid Certification
- Valid NYS Security License
- Must be able to formulate incident reports
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Key Competencies: Communication, situational awareness, ability to remain calm and decisive during crises, strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and efficient.

Pay
Salary Range: $24.73 - $27.47 per hour
