About the Role
The Facility Program Assistant supports program registration, facility operations, and administrative tasks. Responsibilities include processing fees, managing contracts, assisting with budgets, and providing customer service.
Responsibilities
- Set up facilities and arrange rooms for classes, camps, or special events
- Coordinate with Support Services to maintain building and grounds via work orders
- Maintain facility equipment (e.g., changing oil, stripping/waxing floors, replacing light bulbs, and performing related maintenance)
- Provide administrative support (e.g., coordinating meetings, editing newsletters/brochures, preparing reports)
- Perform clerical duties (e.g., copying, filing, faxing, typing, sorting mail)
- Assist customers with event/rental inquiries, facility maintenance, or repair requests
- Oversee work performed by inmates or volunteers
- Maintain inventory of janitorial/maintenance supplies and Safety Data Sheets
- Instruct clients on community services program fundamentals
- Engage in public speaking and ongoing interaction with the public, user groups, and coworkers
- Perform other duties of a similar nature or level
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two years of facility/grounds maintenance or related recreation support experience
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the above
- Ability to pass a 50-pound lift test
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
- CPR certification (within 6 months of employment)
- First aid certification (within 6 months of employment)
- Valid Driver’s License
Pay
Grade B21(2). Salary is dependent on education and experience.
