Facility Assistant
About the role
As a Facility Assistant at DSV, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of various office spaces, storage areas, and external grounds. Your responsibilities include cleaning offices, conference rooms, restrooms, and storage areas, preparing conference rooms with necessary amenities, maintaining cleanliness of the exterior grounds, emptying trash receptacles daily, and keeping materials organized.
Responsibilities
- Maintain offices, cubicles, conference rooms, restrooms, and storage areas clean and in an orderly fashion.
- Prepare conference rooms with coffee, drinks, and food as required.
- Maintain storage areas neat and clean.
- Maintain cleanliness of exterior grounds such as bay areas, lobby entrances, etc.
- Empty trash receptacles in the warehouse daily at a minimum.
- Maintain floors daily to ensure cleanliness, remove dirt and debris, and eliminate trip/slip hazards.
- Post hazard information signs where needed.
- Maintain materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
Requirements
- Six months experience in a similar role.
- A high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Ability to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during the warmer and colder months.
- Basic computer skills.
- Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program.
- Clear speaking ability to communicate effectively with vendors and customers.
- Able to read and comprehend written procedures and instructions.
- Basic math skills.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, and reach.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience: Six months experience in a similar role.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
- Other Skills: Clear speaking ability, reading and comprehension of written procedures, basic math skills, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, and reach.

Benefits
For this position, the expected base pay range is $14.51 – $18.13 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy. Pay
The expected base pay range for this position is $14.51 – $18.13 per hour.
Schedule
This position is full-time.
Physical Demands
- Occasionally: Handling, sitting, bending, reaching above shoulder, reaching outward, squatting, kneeling.
- Frequently: Walking and standing.
- Constantly: Lifting (up to 50 lbs), pushing/pulling.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee rarely is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
