Empire State University is seeking a candidate for a full-time position in Saratoga Springs, NY.

About the role

The Facility Operations Assistant 1 will perform a variety of routine unskilled and semiskilled manual tasks related to the operation and maintenance of buildings and facilities, surrounding grounds, and vehicles and equipment used in maintaining these sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine custodial cleaning of offices, classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and wash floors and carpets
• Clean and disinfect restrooms and other high-touch surfaces
• Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables
• Set up, move, and rearrange furniture, equipment, and materials as needed
• Lock and unlock buildings as directed
• Operate cleaning and maintenance equipment
• Perform seasonal snow removal
• Assist with general exterior and groundskeeping tasks
• Conduct light maintenance tasks

Requirements

• Physically able to perform the tasks of the position
• Able to understand and carry out written or oral instructions
• Possess a valid NYS driver's license

Monday - Friday, 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Pay

$36,232 - $44,828
