Facility Based Crisis Nurse (RN) / Part-Time Weekends . $2,500 Sign-On Bonus

This position is a part-time member of a team that provides support, services, and treatments necessary to deliver integrated care to individuals with behavioral health diagnoses or substance use disorders. The role provides oversight and general nursing care to persons in a facility-based crisis/non-hospital detox setting. All patients are voluntary, perform their own activities of daily living (ADLs), and no physical or chemical restraints are used. The average length of stay for patients is 5–7 days.
Responsibilities
- Utilize current nursing assessment skills and knowledge of nursing principles to assess and monitor clients, participate in behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment, and respond to crises in a timely manner.
- Comply with Controlled Substances policy and procedures, including maintaining accurate inventories and controlled logs, and following appropriate guidelines for investigation of discrepancies.
- Monitor consumers and take appropriate action for side effects and adverse reactions to medications.
- Complete QA activities as requested and participate in the QA process.
- Communicate effectively with the team.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, with a minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Must meet the education, experience, licensure/certification requirements specified by the service definition of the service being provided.
- One year of nursing experience preferred; experience in behavioral health nursing is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license (a condition of employment) including personal vehicle insurance coverage.
- Must maintain proficiency in company-sponsored training and certifications, and privileging if required.
Pre-employment Screening
- Complete criminal background check and registry checks (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities).
- Drug testing.
- Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements.
- Proof of employment history or references (if required).
- For positions requiring driving: proof of driver’s license, driver’s insurance, and vehicle.
