Facility Based Crisis Nurse (RN) / Night Shift / $2,500 Sign-On Bonus/ Part-Time

About the role
Performs nursing functions and consumer care at a Facility Based Crisis Center including assessment, care, and treatment of clients at the facility. This position relies on knowledge, experience, and judgment with limited supervision and direction to provide quality services to crisis facility clients. All patients are voluntary and perform their own ADLs. No physical or chemical restraints. Average length of stay of patients is 5–7 days.
Responsibilities
- Utilize current nursing assessment skills and knowledge of nursing principles to assess and monitor clients, participating in behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment and responding to crises on a timely basis.
- Comply with Controlled Substances policy and procedures in maintaining accurate inventories and controlled logs, following appropriate guidelines for investigation of discrepancies.
- Monitor consumers and take appropriate action for side effects and adverse reactions to medications.
- Complete QA activities as requested and participate in the QA process.
- Communicate effectively with the team.
Requirements
- Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing, with a minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Must meet the education, experience, licensure/certification requirements specified by the service definition of the service being provided.
- Valid driver’s license (this is a condition of employment) including personal vehicle insurance coverage.
- Pre-employment screening: criminal background check, registry checks (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities), drug testing, education verification, and other credentialing based on position requirements.
- Proof of employment history or references (if required).
- Positions that require driving: proof of driver’s license, driver’s insurance, and vehicle, if required for providing transportation for individuals.
Qualifications
- RN license required.
- Two years’ experience working with behavioral health clients preferred.
- MSN preferred.
- One year of nursing experience preferred; experience in behavioral health nursing preferred.
- Some college training and/or management experience helpful.
- Must maintain proficiency in company-sponsored training and certifications and privileging if required.

Pay
$2,500 sign-on bonus for part-time positions. Competitive hourly rate with shift differential for overnight/weekend hours.
