Facility Based Crisis Licensed Practical Nurse PRN
About the role
We are hiring for a Facility Based Crisis Licensed Practical Nurse PRN position at RHA Health Services. This role involves performing nursing functions and consumer care at a Facility Based Crisis Center, adhering to standards of care as defined by the Nurse Practice Act and RHA. The position requires two years of experience working with behavioral health clients and an MSN degree, though these are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Performing nursing assessments and interventions with medications oversight and administration as needed.
- Reporting client’s social, psychological and physical behavior as indicated.
- Implementing and ensuring compliance with standards of nursing practice that promote optimal health care delivery and meet regulatory requirements.
- Implementing policies and procedures to ensure organizational compliance with Confidentiality regulations, HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), national accreditation agency and Continuous Quality Improvement.
- Attending applicable meetings as necessary.
- Using state guidelines, Quality Assurance Plan and Client Rights Policy to ensure clinical operations comply with state regulations and update plans and policies as necessary.
- Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, making recommendations for hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding, motivating, disciplining and promoting team performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Requirements
- Active and current LPN Licensure in state of employment.
- Two years’ experience as a nurse working with behavioral health clients, preferred.
- Working knowledge of psychoactive substance abuse, dependency and the principles and techniques based on best practices, commitment to the use of evidence based treatment and preventative methods.
- Valid driver’s license and automotive insurance required.
