About the role

The Facility Assessment Manager will lead Kraus-Anderson’s efforts in providing facility condition reports, project planning, project accounting, business development, and ensuring compliance with all KA quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Counsults on facility condition evaluations, verifies program needs, and generates plans addressing those needs.
  • Inspects facility systems including site, exterior envelope, interior finishes, ADA requirements, life safety, mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Creates detailed maintenance reports using appropriate software programs.
  • Estimates costs and prioritizes for repair, replacement, and maintenance of building systems.
  • Aids project teams in facility master planning and budgeting to identify needs beyond repairs and maintenance versus replacements.
  • Maintains deadlines and completes assignments on time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, construction management, building operations, engineering, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of existing buildings, facility management, active systems, MEP, and architectural systems.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Business development skills to support and grow this business effort.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
  • Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goals.
  • Ability to maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to possess and maintain an exceptional work ethic and uphold company values and demand the highest standard of conduct from self and others.
  • Experience in architecture, construction management, building operations, or engineering.
  • Association with Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), International Facility Management Association (IFMA), or American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) trade organizations.
  • Valid driver’s license, ability to maintain a satisfactory motor vehicle record, and adherence to KA’s motor vehicle policy.
  • Travel up to 25% of the time.
