Facilities Technician - Wendover

About the role

The Facilities Technician performs general, preventative, and emergency maintenance throughout the hotel and casino.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic preventative maintenance throughout hotel and casino.
• Respond to guest calls and work orders.
• Log and follow-up on work orders and complete any necessary paperwork.
• Repair any equipment that has broken down or needs replacing.
• Perform repairs to equipment in hotel, kitchen, and laundry areas, maintain swimming pools to meet health code requirements, and handle general landscaping.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems.
• Maintain a safe work environment for self, co-workers, and guests.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to operate power tools and equipment following proper safety requirements.
• Solid organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced casino environment.
• Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for long periods of time, speak and hear, write, finger and feel.
• Lift and carry up to thirty pounds (30 lbs.) and occasionally more.
• Frequently required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Endure variable temperature conditions (extreme hot or cold).
