Facilities Technician - Painter (Effective 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR)

About the role

Paints a variety of surfaces utilizing various painting techniques. Power wash surfaces, hang drywall, and perform window glazing.

Requirements

• Six years of experience (journeyman level competency) in various painting techniques or completion of an accredited training program in the trade.
• Verbal and written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
• FBI fingerprint background check (prior to start date).
• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization (prior to start date).
• Post-offer/pre-employment physical examination and lift test (prior to start date).
• Valid Arizona Driver’s license with an MVReport showing no more than the allowable points against the Driver’s License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees.

Schedule

• Full-time: 1.0 FTE – 8 hours per day.
• 12-month work calendar (effective 2026-2027 school year).
• Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
