Facilities Technician II

Schedule
1st shift, 6:15 AM - 2:45 PM
Duration: 9 months
About the role
This is a hands-on manufacturing/production technician role, not a desk-based facilities position. The technician will support manufacturing builds, troubleshooting, hardware inspection, assembly of first-article builds/test fixtures/racks and wiring, and work closely with mechanical, electrical and manufacturing engineering teams. The team is expanding and getting busier.
Candidates will initially receive exposure to three basic areas during onboarding and then be placed into production or material-handling work based on their strengths/interests. The expectation is that they become highly proficient within a couple of months.
Responsibilities
- Support manufacturing builds
- Troubleshoot hardware and processes
- Perform hardware inspection and assembly of first-article builds, test fixtures, racks, and wiring
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineering teams
- Follow technical documentation and manufacturing processes
- Manage multiple assignments independently
Requirements
- Small tools / power tools experience
- Ability to read instructions and follow step-by-step processes
- Basic computer skills
- Troubleshooting, installation, fault finding, and repair experience
- Mechanical/electrical integration or assembly experience (preferred)
- Manufacturing quality and safety knowledge
- Handheld scanner experience
- ERP/manufacturing test process experience (a plus)
- Ability to stand 7+ hours per shift
- Ability to lift 30 lbs
Work Environment
- Hands-on role in a structured manufacturing environment
- Basic PPE provided: glasses, gloves, and ESD smocks

The strongest candidates will have hands-on tools, assembly/build, and troubleshooting experience rather than purely administrative, facilities, or desk-based experience. Ideal backgrounds include:

Pay
$19 to $21 per hour
