Facilities Technician I/II
Job Summary
Dominion Energy is seeking a Facilities Technician I or II to support operations in the Williamsburg, Gloucester, and Northern Neck (Lively) areas. The successful candidate will troubleshoot and maintain various systems, assign work orders, conduct inspections, and assist with renovations.
About the Role
This role requires troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and building systems. It involves assigning preventive, routine, and emergency work orders to building maintenance staff, conducting regular inspections, and performing maintenance tasks to ensure optimal building and equipment operation.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoots electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and building systems
- Assigns preventive, routine, and emergency work orders to building maintenance staff
- Conducts regular building inspections
- Performs all preventative, routine, and emergency maintenance work orders
- Plans, organizes, and orders building materials for building renovations and maintenance projects
- Assists in periodic testing, inspection, and maintenance to life safety systems
- Provides technical guidance and training to building maintenance staff
- Plans and coordinates office renovations, interdepartmental relocations, and projects as assigned
Requirements
- Facilities Technician I: 1+ years directly related experience
- Facilities Technician II: 5+ years’ experience in maintenance and construction (with an emphasis in HVAC)
Qualifications
- Facilities Technician I: Ability to perform routine work assignments, desire to develop work knowledge, skills, and abilities, familiarity with blueprints, work orders, technical drawings, and manuals, familiarity with personal computers, and ability to use SAP, Microsoft products, and computer operated maintenance equipment.
- Facilities Technician II: In-depth and expert knowledge of building, mechanical, electrical systems, experience with HVAC systems, in-depth and expert knowledge of building construction, ability to perform HVAC and electrical repair and replacement activities, knowledge of mechanical systems in commercial buildings, proficiency in the use of a variety of diagnostic equipment, familiarity with personal computers, and ability to use SAP, Microsoft products, and computer-operated maintenance equipment, effective written and verbal communications, knowledge of regulatory and environmental standards, demonstrated ability to analyze building and maintenance conditions and develop solutions or recommendations, experience and License as Electrician, HVAC Mechanic, or Certified Building Mechanic preferred, EPA Certification - Type I, II, III (Universal) and R-410A Certification preferred.

Pay
The expected hiring base salary range for this position is $47,300 to $61,400 for Facilities Technician I and $65,500 to $85,000 for Facilities Technician II. Actual salary offered may vary based on qualifications, skills, experience, and work location.
Schedule
Up to 51-75% travel may be required.
