Facilities Technician

Shift: Full Time, open to all shifts

Pay

$41.74 per hour for candidates who successfully pass the required skills assessment and meet all hiring requirements.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot facility systems, develop and implement process improvements, perform preventive and predictive maintenance, and monitor contractor performance.
• Ensure the safe and reliable operation of new equipment and maintain the facility's mechanical safety standards.
• Administer methods, procedures, and techniques to lay out, install, overhaul, and maintain various types of machines encompassing mechanical and electrical systems.
• Clean and lubricate equipment and machinery; adjust and examine parts for defects in the warehouse.
• Cut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, handle boiler blow downs, and record readings of critical operating parameters.
• Record repairs, maintenance, parts, materials used, and order or requisition new parts and materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

As part of the selection process, candidates must successfully pass a technical skills assessment evaluating facility maintenance, building systems, utilities, HVAC, plumbing, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and facility reliability support capabilities. Additional job-related technical knowledge, troubleshooting abilities, and role-specific competencies may also be assessed based on operational needs, equipment, systems, and facility requirements.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/General Education Diploma with 0 to 2 years of related experience.
• Preferred: Electrical Certification or Vocational Certification.
