Responsibilities

  • Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, scrubber operation, and waste removal
  • Help with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness of common areas, walkways, and exterior spaces
  • Support basic groundskeeping activities such as de-icing sidewalks and walk paths
  • Assist with simple painting and touch-up work
  • Help organize and maintain storage areas and maintenance supplies
  • Aid in setting up and breaking down for meetings and events
  • Report facility issues or safety concerns to lead and/or management
  • Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks with minimal supervision
  • Handle minor repairs as directed
  • Keep maintenance tools and equipment organized and in good condition
  • Assist with receiving and putting away of inventory
  • Escort vendors as needed
  • Visit prep inspection of 3rd party providers
  • All other requests from Facilities & Maintenance leadership

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical/vocational training is a plus
  • Basic mechanical and maintenance skills
  • Ability to use common hand and power tools
  • Ability to qualify for powered equipment operation
  • Basic understanding of building systems
  • Ability to communicate (verbal and written) effectively with individuals and groups with varied educational, technical, and operational backgrounds
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, walk long distances, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Ability to work at heights of 40 ft or more
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
  • Must have visual acuity, corrected or uncorrected, which allows close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and color perception
  • Entry-level position, though prior maintenance experience is helpful
  • Basic knowledge of workplace safety practices
  • Reliable transportation
