Posting Details Position Information RHS Job Title Facilities Student Lead (Level 3) Job Description Location: 1855 Place Apartments Pay Rate: $18.00 As a Facilities Student Supervisor III, you will assist in supervising a team performing routine building maintenance, including cleaning, event set-up, and repairs. You will also be responsible for ensuring activities like sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and emptying trash are completed with the highest commitment to quality. In this role, you will work with a team to consistently keep the residence and dining halls at MSU looking and functioning their best. Typical Duties May Include Supervise student team members during washing of walls and windows, emptying trash, changing compactor carts, and cleaning bathroom walls Clean upholstery and carpet, buff and scrub floors, and make minor repairs Set-up and tear-down furniture after events Assume responsibility for your team’s scheduling and performance Perform administrative duties as assigned, such as assisting with payroll and scheduling for student staff Conduct on-site training for new team members Assist with any special projects as assigned by a facilities supervisor or manager Required Qualifications Enrolled as a student at Michigan State University (during academic year) Demonstrated commitment to outstanding customer service Able to complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision Positive and respectful, especially when working with a diverse population Have a well-rounded knowledge of facilities Possess a valid U.S. Issued Drivers License and be able to meet and maintain the University’s driving standards Able to work nights and weekends Preferred Qualifications Preferred Qualifications Equal Employment Opportunity Statement All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, citizenship, age, disability or protected veteran status.
