Kelly is seeking an energetic and dynamic Facilities Project Manager in the Clear Lake, Texas area. This role primarily supports a facilities team in expanding and outfitting facilities to meet growing business needs. The ideal candidate is passionate about thoughtful building design, building systems, and excels at problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all projects are completed efficiently, safely, and within budget.
  • Oversee new construction, renovations, and upgrades of facilities.
  • Visit job sites daily to document and ensure the quality, safety, and progress of the work.
  • Record activities on a daily log for all project documentation.
  • Maintain photo records of all phases of the assigned projects.
  • Oversee assigned projects from initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, to closure.
  • Read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.
  • Review pre-construction plans and documentation to ensure construction materials and techniques meet requirements.
  • Attend and participate in all progress meetings for assigned projects.
  • Adhere to Federal, state, and local building regulations.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with project architects, engineers, and contractors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, education, and training.
  • 5+ years of facilities experience with construction, planning, design, and space allocation.
  • Laboratory construction experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Facility Management Software.
  • Familiarity with local and international building codes.
  • Solid understanding of building design, specifications, site requirements, and construction.
  • Direct experience with day-to-day management of construction projects.
  • Experience with HVAC, plumbing, and power operations.
  • Experience with gas piping systems for aerospace services, including nitrogen, helium, oxygen, and compressed air.
  • Experience creating and implementing process/design solutions with minimal impact on business operations.
  • Ability to quickly assess and perform troubleshooting to initiate repair/replacement.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with possible extended work hours and tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to see interactions with other systems to avoid problems.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and presentations.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
